Passport mela in Chennai on 26th July

In order to meet the growing demand for passports, a passport mela is being organized at Passport Seva Kendras at Saligramam, Tambaram and Nelson Manickam Road on 26th July.
To participate in this Passport Mela, all applicants are required to log on to the official website �www.passportindia.gov.in�, register online, generate an Application Registration Number (ARN), and pay online fees and then take appointment.
Applicants participating in the mela should bring a print out of the ARN with appointment details, to the Passport Seva Kendras along with the requisite documents in original and one set of self-attested photocopies.
On the day of the Passport Mela, only those applications under normal category will be accepted. Applications under Tatkal will not be accepted on this day.
The appointments for the proposed mela date will be released on July 22.
