Hike in tax on cigarette

Central government has imposed a 45 per cent tax on the price of cigarette. The government has plans to increase the tax furthermore to 60 per cent. With this, the government would receive Rs 3800 crore rupees. On account of this, sellers in Chennai, Mumbai and many other places have increased the overall sale in their shops. The entire scenario has stunned all smokers.
