A
Division Bench, comprising Justices D. Murugesan and M. Sathyanarayanan, passed
the order on a petition seeking to declare the disciplinary action taken
against the students of SIMTS in connection with an incident on January 19,
consequent to reports of cancellation of their deemed university status,
illegal. The
expressed hope that the student would take this opportunity to attend classes
and prepare for the examination without causing any inconvenience to other
students. The matter has been posted for June 10.
