Despite Fiscal Prudence, 2600 Anna University Students Got Recruited in Infosys and CTS!

Anna University has registered a high placement conversion of about 12% with the recruitment of nearly 2600 students in several course departments.
The placement drive has been held in Infosys and CTS organizations, through the course of nine recruitment runs for a year in three sectors across the state.
Previously we are able to accomplish only 3 recruitment runs, but this year it has increased by three fold times. The count of the students who have got placement also got increased this year, says T. Thyagarajan, the director of the Institute for University Industry Collaboration (CUIC), Anna University.
Usually, the companies limit themselves, to the top level colleges. But this time, it proposed to render a widespread platform for the students from the rural and moffusil areas, he added.
A total of 24,000 students have been opted for their eligibility who are from diverse circuit branches including Information Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, EEE, Electronics and Communication and Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering.
The recruitment procedure involves online aptitude, technical exam and group discussions. It has been carried out in three different zones namely Chennai, Coimbatore and Thirunelveli Zone.
Students list, who has been chosen for offer letters from the companies have been uploaded in the Website of Anna University: www.annauniv.edu.
