Students Admission under RTE Act – Closing Date Stretched Till June 30!

The RTE Act instructs that the private, own accorded non-marginal schools set aside 25% seats at the entry-level for kids from fragile portions of the society and under privileged groups.

According to the government norms, on Monday the ‘Vana Vani Matriculation School’ has accomplished a drag of lots to fill up the open free seats at the entry-level as per the ‘Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act’.

Across TamilNadu, the closing date for the issuance of the admission application forms under the RTE act has been stretched till June 30, for the second time. So as to benefit the children, the dates has been extended, says the Directorate of Matriculation schools.

Last year, government receives only 56 applications for RTE seats. Since parents are more aware these days, so far nearly 376 applications has been received for filling up 30 seats allotted under the RTE Act, official said.

Many parents are in the hope of getting a seat under the 25% allocation for their children. 

Preferably, the admission agenda for the 25% quota seats will be far ahead to April, since the schools and parents can intends for the subsequent academic year, says a matriculation school principal.
