Amma Thittam a great hit

The Amma scheme (Amma Thittam) camp held recently at the Corporation school, Valluvar Kottam, seems to have been successful in reducing the number of complaints and relieving them within hours of filling applications. The camp addressed issues related to community certificates, income certificates, first graduate in a family certificate and other similar paperworks that were held back for months.
As per this scheme, the residents of Valluvar Kottam applied for their certificates and their grievances were redressed within a few hours.
B Valarmathi, Minister for Social Welfare and Nutritious Noon Meal Programme and Sundaravalli, Chennai Collector, and officers from the taluk office were present in the camp. Most of the beneficiaries sought to obtain community, income and nativity certificates as the schools and colleges were about to open after the summer vacation and they needed these certificates for joining.
More than 450 residents attended this camp; people also applied for patta, change of names in ration cards, nativity and pensions.
Everyone was happy in the camp about getting their certificates within hours.
