17 IAS officers in Tamil Nadu transferred

The Tamil Nadu state Government on Friday transferred 17 IAS officers, including transport commissioner T Prabhakara Rao, TIDCO chairman Hans Raj Verma and Cuddalore collector R Kirlosh Kumar.
Prabhakara Rao has been appointed as transport secretary and Satyabrata Sahoo will be the new commissioner for transport. The appointment of Hans Raj Verma as the new secretary for environment and forest is considered a significant move.
He served as chairman and managing director of Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO).
Cuddalore collector Kirlosh Kumar has been appointed as registrar of cooperative societies instead of P Seetharaman, who was posted as commissioner of prohibition and excise. TN watershed development agency executive director S Sureshkumar has been posted as Cuddalore collector.
TIDCO MD Mohan Pyare has been posted as housing and urban development commissioner. He will continue to hold the post of labour and employment secretary until further orders, an official release said.
Commissioner of integrated child development services Meenakshi Rajagopal has been transferred and posted as commissioner of rural development and panchayat raj.
Chairman of TNPCB and MD of Tamil Nadu Small Industries Development Corporation D Karthikeyan has been shifted and posted as commissioner of archaeology .
T Abraham, health and family welfare joint secretary , is posted as director of animal husbandry and veterinary services.
Lilly will be the joint commissioner of Revenue administration (disaster management and mitigation).
