Nearly 6,221 Drunken Driving Cases Seized Chennai Traffic Police

Around 6,221 car drivers have been detained this year, for the charge of drunk driving, says the Chennai city traffic police.
According to the order, placed by the Chennai city police commissioner S George, a police run has been carried out hostile to drunk driving nearly at 54 spots.
Subsequent to the run, nearly 22, 914 cases have been registered this year. This total count of drunk driving also rope in luxury car owners.
The traffic police have suggested for the cessation of the licenses of 2, 396 drunk drivers. As the first phase, about 374 drivers licenses were terminated for a duration of six months.
