Chennai Metro completes track work

Chennai Metro Rail has finished the track work up to Alandur. This stretch will also be fully electrified in a few days.
Soon after this is complete, the trial runs for trains will be conducted from Koyambedu to Alandur, a distance of 10 km the stretch that Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) plans to operationalise for public use in about six months. At present, the trial runs are conducted only between Koyambedu and Ashok Nagar.
