Policemen cool themselves with lemonade

Under a government scheme introduced last year, traffic policemen will be served lemonade four times a day , every two hours or so, to prevent them from being dehydrated.Around 5,000 traffic policemen -from constables to inspectors of police -will receive the beverage in 200ml sachets. A policeman can take as many sachets as he wants.Traffic policemen say they wouldn`t be able to make it through the day without the lemonade, with peak summer upon the city and temperatures soaring to a maximum of 41.6oC in the city and 42.4oC in the suburbs on Thursday .
