Schools to Adhere Security Norms � City Police Check

Following the kidnap of an LKG student from Chettinad Vidyashram, last August, City police involved themselves in scrutinizing school campuses to monitor whether School administrations have stick on to the security instructions fixed by the police department.

Installation of CCTV cameras is one of the main suggestions given by the police department.

A distressing even, a four year old boy Surya Hariharan has been abducted for payoff from a particular school ground in R. A. Puram on 8 August, 2013 by an anonymous person, who faked himself as van driver.

Fortunately, within an hour time the police team saved the boy and detained the gundas gang later.

On a meeting conducted by K. Shankar, Joint Commissioner (East) with authorities of diverse schools, he insisted mainly about improving the security in their school campus. Key suggestions are installing CCTV cameras and in depth vehicle drivers check at the entrance.

As the schools reopen during the first week of June, it is vital to make sure on the installations of the security measures in the school campus as per the suggestions given by the police department.
