SMS System to Track Pending Cases - Consumer Courts!
Soon, an SMS-based alert system will be getting introduced by the State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission.
This system will benefit the people a lot, as they can easily trace their pending cases facing board commission.
Currently a Web-based Tracking system is available for people to register their complaints or petitions.
The Complainants can validate their case position by entering either their complainant number, case number or advocate’s number in the following Website: http://confonet.nic.in/ . Also, people can verify their case status base on the litigation mode, said senior sources.
This online server is getting updated only for Chennai South and North regions and people can easily verify their current status daily. We have involved in updating the other district servers, and thus people who have posted their complaints from other districts need not wait for longer duration, said the sources.
On the other hand, we are in a plan of introducing SMS alerts, sources said. People who are engrossed can key in and in turn they will get SMS alerts with the info of their case position.
Also after approval from the government, a new Website has been crafted for the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission. This new Website has diverse announcements, FAQs on RTI act and it redirects to parent Website: http://confonet.nic.in/, said the source.
