List of Approved Colleges in MCI’s Website for MBBS Applicants
The upcoming two months is very crucial for the students who are planning to pursue MBBS.
While carrying out the admission processes, students should be more cautious in ensuring whether the medical college is accepted Medical Council of India (MCI), experts advised students.
MBBS applicants should ensure the MCI’s Website for the directory of the authorized colleges in the State before looking for admission, said the senior officials of both the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University and the DME.
During 2011, it has been found out that the DD Medical College, Thiruvallur was de-recognized and hence about 100 students of this college has re entered in another college with a high fee. Hence this brings the necessity of ascertain the recognition of the medical colleges.
An entire list of the medical colleges down with the rank of recognition and the count of the approved seats, have been available in the MCI’s Website.
During last year, admissions have been carried out to fill up the seats in 19 Government medical colleges, 13 self-financing colleges, 1 government dental college and 17 self-financing dental colleges, said DME S. Geethalakshmi.
MBBS applicants should also stopover at the colleges and find out with students on the infrastructure, hostel, faculty, and fees, she added.
