Live streaming of results by Election Commission

Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Kumar has said arrangements have been made for live streaming of the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections and the by-election to the Alandur Assembly Constituency. In each Lok Sabha constituency, the Returning Officer’s room and the halls, where the votes are being counted, will be available for public viewing. The Assembly segment camera will show the counting process, whereas the Returning Officer’s camera will focus on the round-wise results on a digital board.
The award of the certificate of election to the winning candidate can also been seen through the camera in the Returning Officer’s room.A website, public.gelsws.in, has been created. It can be accessed by the public to view live streaming. A viewer needs to register her/his name and phone number in the register page of the website. On registration, she/he will receive an SMS with a temporary user name and a password on the mobile number.
