ZERO DISCHARGE OF WASTE: AN ATTEMPT BY POLLUTION BOARD.

A seminar on Waterways in Chennai
was inaugurated by Parithi Ellamvazuthi R Ramachandran, Member Secretary,
Tamilnadu Pollution Control Board said that TNPCB is chalking out strategies to
make the Industrial units to adhere to Zero Discharge of waste. Into waterways
through stringent regulations. He admitted to there were lacunas in the Chennai
City River Conservation Project [CCRCP] and further said that these would be
addresses gradually make the act effective. Suasan Mathew , Vice Chairperson ,
CMDA and Vikram Kapoor , Member Secretary , CMDA also participated.
