Turing back pages of Isaignani Ilayaraja

May 14 is certainly a memorable day for the whole of Indian cinema, especially its music. Travelling back to 1976, it was exactly on this day that Isaignani Ilayaraja made his debut with ‘Annakili’ starring Sivakumar and Sujatha, and directed by Devraj Mohan.
He has composed unmatchable tracks that can never go off our minds throughout our life. Until now, Ilayaraja has scored for more than 1000 movies in varied languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, etc. He has also given couple of music albums including ‘Thiruvasagam’. It is Ilayaraja sir’s music that heals wounds in most hearts and it is the same that gives the necessary peace of mind.
It is now his 39th year of journey in film industry, as a successful and incomparable music director. The director is currently working on his thousandth project, ‘Tharai Thappatai’ which is the next flick by national award winning director, Bala.
