Rainfall brings cheer to the city

The recent rainfall in the city has brought a sigh of relief and cheer among water managers. It has reversed the water depletion trend by pouring down additional water supply. This however seems to be an insufficient amount to quench the reservoirs in Poondi, Red Hills, Chembarambakkam and Cholavaram, said metro water officials. They say the city now has nearly 3.9 to 4 tmc feet of water.
