Kochadaiyaan release postponed to 23rd May

Fans of superstar Rajinikanth are deeply upset because the film Kochadaiyaan is not being released on 9th May as scheduled. The film is to be released on 23rd May.
In a statement on Wednesday evening, the producers of the film, Eros International, said the release has been postponed to May 23. The reason for the delay, the producers claimed, was �to cater to the demand for releasing multiple-language and 2D and 3D versions on the same day.�
However, a source close to the actor�s family said, �The film�s release has been postponed due to a court order. I cannot reveal more.� Sources said the film ran into legal hurdles after the Oriental Bank of Commerce moved a court in Chennai seeking repayment of loan running to more than 40 crore. The producers posted an announcement online saying: �Dear patrons we are sorry to inform you that �Kochadaiiyaan�, scheduled for release on May 9, has been postponed. Those of you who have purchased tickets online will get refund through respective banks.�
