Commissioner of railway safety S K Mittal has begun his investigation into the twin blasts at Central station on Thursday. He visited victims at the Government General Hospital and recorded their statements. Mittal said that surveillance camera footage from Bangalore, Katpadi and other stations were being analyzed. “We are conducting statutory enquiries starting Tuesday. We visited victims at GH to see if they could provide us any clues related to the cause of the accident or the suspects,” he said. The investigation will also look into loopholes in safety and security at stations and question railway staff who handled the train at Bangalore and Chennai.
