Another abrupt increase in Aavin Milk from June!!!

The price of Aavin milk is expected to shoot up again in coming June.
The purchase price of milk rose in January. Hence, it has been decided to raise the price of Aavin milk by Rs. 6 per litre. Since AIADMK was voted to power, bus fares, milk prices and the electricity charges have all been increased.
AIADMK government will complete 3 years with the next May. It is learnt that the prices of bus fares, electricity charges and milk will be raised with the start of the 4th year. As an excuse for this, frequent press reports are issued on the heavy losses of Rs. 75,000 Crores on electricity, Rs. 10 Cropre loss on the Aavin Milk
Monthly losses Rs. 80 lakhs are reported on the Aavin milk following the rise in purchase price in January. There has also been a drop in supply of milk for around 4,00,000 litres since the start of summer. The production of milk products had to be reduced. At the same time, demand for milk has increased. In order to meet this extra demand, milk powder has been procured and converted to milk and sold.
Currently, the stock of milk powder with Aavin is low and it has started buying 600 tons of milk powder from other states like Karnataka, Gujarat, and Punjab. Plans are afoot to buy extra milk powder from other sources.
With the above situation, the government has decided to raise the price of Aavin milk by at least Rs. 6 per litre. The prices of other milk products such as ghee, ‘palgova’, butter, and ice cream will also be increased.
Presently, Aavin milk is sold at Rs. 24/- per litre for the Aavin card holder. This is ecpected to increase to Rs. 30 per litre. Private milk is being sold at Rs. 36 to Rs. 40 per litre. Following the increase of prices for Aavin milk, these prices are also likely to rise.
So far, there was no news about the increase because of the election activities. Now that the elections are over, the issue of milk price rise is taken up!
