Tunnel Drilling Work Completed Till LIC – For Metro Rail
The tunnel drilling process for the purpose of the metro rail has been complete in between new chief secretariat building and LIC. Metro rail work has been commencing at high speed is various zones.
Nearly 35% of the distance of the metro work has been undergone tunnel drilling work. For the past two months, mine drilling work has been pursuing in two routes for the purpose of metro rail across new chief secretariat building to LIC.
First route has crossed 705 meter distance and yesterday the tunnel boring machine reached LIC. In case of second route, work has reached till 450 meter distance.
Meanwhile during the process of mine drilling near LIC yesterday, while forcing the cement mixture through the mass machine, there exists a minute leakage in Anna Salai main road.
Officers stated that this leakage is mainly due to the slackness of sand in this area. Even though it will not create any hindrance to drilling work and task is getting proceeding for the metro rail completion, says officers.
