People cheered because flower prices have come down

The flower prices in Chennai have come down since auspicious functions like marriages and other religious functions have come down. Flower loads are brought to Koyambedu from various states like Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala. On the occasion of Tamil New Year’s day, the prices of the flowers soared high. Flowers like jasmine, Caste coriander and Kanakamparam were sold for Rs 400 per kilo. After this, there were no marriages and other auspicious functions. Because of this the prices have come down bringing cheeriness to people. Now jasmine is sold at Rs 75 per kilo. Similarly the prices of other flowers used by people have also come down drastically.
