Visit to Sri Lanka by Team Dhanvanthri, a report

On receiving an invitation from a Rotarians group from Dist 3300, Malaysia, Team Dhanvanthri made a visit to Sri Lanka. This was mainly for their humanitarian missions and a unique project called ‘leg for legless’. Discussions and interactions were made well before the visit and the below plans were made:
- They planned to visit centre for handicapped, Kandy which is run by Rotary club of Kandy
- Planned for a get together to get to know about how services in Mulliathivu is provided
- Scheduled to attend a function to handover books and computers, and made donations to Jaffna Teaching hospital that will be of good help in buying medicinal items.
They both together aimed at helping people who were affected in war, especially those from Northern Province. At last, they sensed that Sri Lanka is receiving good support and encouragement from countries across the world and not just India and Malaysia.
A total of five Rotarians from Chennai Sun City and Salem Midtown’s Rtn Ramachandran marched to the country. The very first schedule they had was to attend joint club meeting held at queen’s hotel.
