Excessive Police Personnel for Poll Booths

In Chennai, in order to carry out problem free election, City police commissioner J. K. Tripathy has planned for the employment of additional police personnel, apart from military forces, in poll booths.
The police statistics shows that, in Chennai there are about 283 booths in the three parliamentary constituencies which have been acknowledged inclined. Of these 255 have been labeled susceptible booths and 28 have been termed as decisive.
In total the Central Chennai Parliamentary constituency has a count of 122 vulnerable booths. Also the Chennai south constituency accounts for about 88 susceptible booths and Chennai North constituency has 45 perceptive booths.
I had visited many sensitive booths on Wednesday and ordered the officers to frame up more security arrangements along with the broadcasting equipments for monitoring the poll booths, he added.
