Manali Resurrect it Ammonia Plant on Wednesday

On 11 April, nearly about seven workers of Madras Fertilizers Limited’s Ammonia plant had endured unceasing burn injuries because of the leakage from the naphtha tube. 

Following this accident, the ammonia plant was shut down for 5 days and it got reopened on Wednesday for its regular work.

Subsequent to the accident, a team of specialist has assisted the workers in finding out the fault. The leakage tubes have been examined and the leaks have been stopped. Then it has been certified for its fitness by the officers from Mumbai.

The reopen ceremony of the Ammonia plant will be headed under the presence of Dr I. Vijayakumar, MFL chairman and managing director, senior plant officials and Ammonia Production unit powers.

Many injured workers including A Ganesan (45) and A Balakrishnan (39), senior research laboratory analysts are still in the ICU of the corporate hospital for their treatment. Doctors are annoying themselves in replacing the burnt skin with the skin taken from other body parts.

Several other workers including S Prasad Raju (45) research laboratory analyst, J Raj Kumar (43) casual worker have been undergo the treatment in the same hospital.

Workers Rajarajan, Joseph Ebenezer and Raj Kumar have been admitted in private hospital in Kilpauk, and recovering sooner.
