No campaigning at devotees who undertake ‘Girivalam’ in Thiruvannamalai

The district collector of Thiruvanamalai, Mr. Gnanasekaran informed the reporters:

Voter cards are being distributed in the constituencies of Aarani & Thiruvanamalai for voting in the 3222 polling booths. 

In both constituencies, 358 polling booth areas have been identified as tense zones. Monitoring of polling will be done by web cameras installed in about 650 polling booths including the 358 identified as tense. 

If no facilities are available for installing web cameras, micro-supervisors employed by the central government and Supporting military force will be employed to monitor. 

Al precautionary actions have been taken to ensure fair, free, and safe elections.

Actions have been initiated against some political parties who have failed to fallow the codes. 

24 candidates are contesting in Thiruvannamalai and 19 in Aarani. Hence, each polling booth will employ 2 polling machines. More than 00 voting machines are required. These will be procured from outside. 

There are 24,540 new voters. 0,934 persons are employed in the election activities.

After the 3rd stage of training, they will be given the details of their polling booth 2 days before the election.

Sine 2 voting machines are are used in each polling booth, only one of them will be provided with ‘NOTA’ facility. 

NOTA button will be placed on the 25th place in Thiruvannamalai and 20th place in Aarani. Care has been taken to create awareness among the voter about ‘NOTA’ option. 

On the ‘full moon day’ during the ‘girivalam’, no campaigning will be allowed in the ‘girivalam’ route. However, there will be clips about awareness on ‘NOTA’ option on the small s screens kept throughout the ‘girivalam’ route.
