High percentage of success expected at +2 results

As many questions were asked from the training book for the lesser-ability students in the +2 examinations, education officials expect that with papers being easy, more students will score more marks.

Based on the learning ability, students are divided into 2 groups – the fast-learning and the slow-learning. With the intention to get maximum passes for the slower-learning group, special coaching classes were conducted for this group in all government schools.

Almost 50% of the questions in most subjects were taken from the training books as above. So, the higher officials in academic circle expect higher percentage of success with more students scoring high marks.

However, objections have been raised by many private school authorities that this trend of taking questions from government school training books renders the examinations rather difficult for their students, reducing the possibility of high marks. They have requested that this practice should be stopped.

The main reason for this objection is the fact that most private schools did not conduct any coaching classes for the slower-learning groups. The government school teacher mock at this development – they retort with the question, ‘You have been teaching for 2 years to prepare your +2 students! How can you find the questions taken from slower-learning group coaching to be difficult?!’

The coaching books for the slower-learning group in the government schools were given only during February. If it had been given earlier, there could have been more scope for even better performance. Hence, teachers feel it is better to give these coaching books earlier.
