Trivial Power Accumulation Sheds Dimness on top of Wind Energy

The wind energy production across Tamil Nadu was only marginal during the fiscal year of 2013-2014, with the value of about 107 megawatt (MW).

The production scope of the wind mills has been about 2040 MW in April 2005 and seven years later, it levitates to 6,971 MW.  This shows the consistent rise of about 616 MW annually.

In fiscal stipulations, the Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission’s standard outlines a capital tag of Rs. 5.75 per MW and the State foresee an annual capital venture of Rs. 3,540 Crore.

But for the last two years, the wind mills shows only a meager value of only 282 MW have been commissioned in Tamil Nadu.

Energy Experts A.D. Thirumoorthy and Vineet Vijayaraghavan concede that the promise of the current sites has been pooped out. In the field of both the land accessibility and feasible infrastructure in the current sections including Thirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Coimbatore and Theni, the range of diffusion is clearly obvious.

However, K. Kasturirangaiyan, the president of the Indian Wind Power Association, has a distinctive vision of thought. He stated that, it is not only in Tamil Nadu but also in other States that the growth tempo has been going downhill.

The refurbishment of the benefit of quicken downgrading will present the division a fresh lease of life, he added.
