Documents required to be attached with applications for engineering courses early announcement from Anna University

For the benefit of the students applying for engineering courses, Anna University has announced a detailed list of documents to be attached with the application forms.
+2 results are to be announced on 9th May. 8,45,000 students have written these exams. A majority of the students prefer to join engineering courses.
There are 670 engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu with 2,00,000 seats for B. E. & B. Tech. Courses offered after counselling on a single window system. Application forms will be available from the 1st week of May.
Reservations
There are reserved seats for offer. 3% reservation is given for differently-abled students. 500 seats are reserved for students with sports talent. Out of 500 seats, 12 are from Anna Univerisy and its affiliated colleges.
Reservations are available for students of military employees.
There is scholarship offered for the 1st generation graduates.
For claiming these reservations, it is a MUST to include all required documentations.
List of documents
Copy of caste certificate, copy of residential proof, and a copy of mark sheets must be attached by all applicants. Proof of being a first generation graduate is required. Proof for being a differently-abled student is also required. Similarly, certificates on sports talent and being from a family of military employee are also required.
Most students start applying for these certificates only after the release of the engineering course application forms! This leads to hardships in obtaining them on time spending a lot of money, time and travel to the taluk offices.
For students benefit
This year, Anna University has deeded to release the list of documents early. This list will be released on-line during next week. This will enable the students to start obtaining the necessary certificates.
