Very soon expect air ticket booking via Twitter

With social media flooding into most aspects of our day-to-day activities, it is now the turn for it to pave way for flight ticket bookings. Just like booking air tickets using mobile phone or website, users can now make use of their Twitter account for grabbing their air ticket. Speaking to the chief executive of Sprinklr, Ragy Thomas, he said airlines are now making use of social media sites just like using mobile phones. In the recent years, many such airlines have started using Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Youtube.
The Royal Dutch Airlines dabbled with social media in 2009 and in a year or two, they got into it seriously and began availing services through such social network sites. It now has more than 135 full time employees working round the clock, fluent in more than ten languages. One other airline based in Atlanta, the Delta Assist started using Twitter in 2006. The emirates airline is now racing with other airlines who are active social network users.
