Chic Water Grid – Boon to Engenders 60,000MW Hydro Power!
If our water streams links with the smart grid, our country will easily bail out $100 Billion and meanwhile generate 60,000 MW owing to hydro-power yearly. This proposal is a boon, which has been recently revealed by A. C. Kamaraj, Expert Committee Associate of Interconnecting Waterways of Government of India.
Kamaraj states that this proposal is wholly involved in the innate gush
of water to traverse across the state via a sequence of canals and this can be
made solely by the state, devoid of nationalization of the rivers.
Various states including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh have given
away their curiosity for this proposal till now. In Tamil Nadu, we have anticipated
a 900 km passage way starting from Vellore to Sengottai, which will prompt as a
shield for torrents, and also facilitate irrigating water for 150 million acres,
he proudly added.
Kamaraj’s suggestion has been highly speak well of by global
organizations as the latent tool which heightens country’s financial systems
and it is also accepted by the Canadian Government.
Additional benefit is that transporting commodities via the water passage
will charge only one-tenth of lane voyage, said Rathinaraj, Public Works
Department.
Each state to take initiative in linking their water grids with their nearest states, to guarantee superior benefits, stated Kamaraj.
