3500 Soldiers of Paramilitary Force Arrived

3500 paramilitary forces arrived in Chennai for the security task of parliamentary elections. Election Commission has planned to conduct the election on April 24th in a single phase for the 39 constituencies in Tamil Nadu. The EC has taken security measures including vehicle check and intensive surveillance. Around 1 lakh Tamil Nadu police are to be deployed for security work during election. Further, 52 companies of paramilitary forces at the rate of 100 soldiers per company are to be deployed for the election work. In that, 3500 soldiers of 32 companies have arrived Chennai today. They will be sent to various districts of Tamil Nadu. Another 20 companies of paramilitary forces will come to Tamil Nadu by first week of April.
