Sales of 5 kg LPG gas cylinders starts at Chennai
Yesterday’s news bulletin from Indian Oil Corporation informs:
The sales of 5 kg LPG cylinders started on behalf of IOC at
Teynampet yesterday. These cylinders will be sold at ‘Kirana’ sales centres
also.
In the first stage, 5 kg LPG cylinder sales has started at 11
cities including Chennai, Bangalore, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, and Aligarh. The
cylinders will be available at all ‘Kirana’ stores at the market rate.
These cylinders are designed for very convenient by the
customer. If the gas in the 5 kg cylinder is exhausted, the empty cylinder can
be taken to the ‘Kirana’ stores and refilled there.
The overall price for the 5 kg cylinder has been fixed at Rs.
1600 to Rs. 1700 including the cylinder, regulator, and the gas stove.
Arrangements are under way to start sales of 5 kg LPG cylinders
in other citities. To buy this cylinder from the ‘Kirana’ stores, the purchaser
will have to show the voter ID card with photo, PAN Card, or Aadhar card, or
Bank Savings Account proof, or passport, or the ID card from the educational
Institute.
IOC is helping start ‘Kirana’ stores at 52 locations in 32
cities.
There are more than 1500 customers in the 5 kg LPG cylinder scheme started last year on behalf of IOC.
