Installing New Lavatories in Chennai – Preventive measure on Passing Urine in Public Places

Chennai Corporation has introduced new lavatories in order to prevent public from passing urine in public places.

Especially, passing urines in public places including Schools, Hospitals, Transformers, posts and so on can cause environmental pollutions and hence brings in many health disorders to the populace.

To safeguard public, Chennai Corporation has built in Lavatories for Men. This has been placed near the Express Avenue Business Campus in Royapettah. It has built in such a way that two men can use a single toilet at a time. On top of it there placed a 300 Litre capacity syntax tank.

Water will be filled up daily using lorry and soon tap water connection will be furnished. Light facilities also have been arranged.

As of now, in Tenampet zone nearly 36 free lavatories have been furnished. In the similar way, other parts of Chennai will yet to receive these amenities.

The Chennai Corporation and Transparent Chennai Organization collaboratively initiating this lavatories feature in Chennai.

Chennai has even lesser than 1000 lavatories and as per the population we need 5 times more than this count, stated SathyaRoopa Sekar, a member of the Transparent Chennai Association.

We are helping the corporation in finding out the needy places in Chennai, he added.
