Over 12 lakh applications expected for VAO exam

Examination for Village Administrative Officer (VAO) that is scheduled for June 14 is expected to receive more than 12 lakh applications this year. Speaking about this to the higher officials of government recruitment board, they stated the government has considered the plea for filling VAO positions at Village Administrative offices functioning across the state. As of now, nearly 2342 vacancies are available. The recruitment board of Tamil Nadu government is taking serious steps to select candidates for VAO positions through examinations.
Candidates can apply for the examination till 15th April through online mode. The board is receiving plenty of applications every day. Over 4,30000 applications are received as of 2nd April 2014. Final list of all eligible candidates and total number of applications will be disclosed only after 15th.
During the previous VAO examination, there were more than 12 lakh applications and this time, a similar condition is expected, said one of the officials. Potential candidates who get through the exam successfully will be considered for the job.
