CBSE schools hike fees rate

Is your kid getting educated in any CBSE school in the city? Then this news should shock you. The city CBSE schools are planned to hike the fees by 10 to 40 per cent in the forthcoming academic year, 2014 – 15. In a renowned school at Velachery, the 1st standard fees amount is increased from Rs 19600 to 27500. Though the school students are excited about the huge school building they are studying in, their parents are left worried because of the hike.
It is expected that other schools in the city too will fix the school fees in couple of days. In few schools at Northern Chennai, parents protested the hike and insisted to roll back the fees amount to last year rates. A school in Kilpauk demanded for the book fee but has not yet disclosed details about tuition fee yet. This has furthermore created commotion about what is the fees amount going to be.
