Desalination plant shut for repair-Water supply in South Chennai may be disrupted

Water supply to areas in South Chennai may be disrupted on Friday and Saturday due to maintenance work at the desalination plant in Nemmeli.
A statement issued by Chennai Metro water said the desalination plant would be shut till 9pm on Friday. On Saturday, supply from the plant will be suspended from 8am to 6pm. The civic body has made alternate arrangements for water supply to areas including Adyar, Velachery, Besant Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur, Sholinganallur, ECR, Neelankarai, Kottivakkam and Palavakkam.
