Conjoined twins now officially separated

Conjoined twins from Tanzania who underwent a major surgery at the Apollo Hospitals in Vanagaram few days ago are now officially ‘separated’.
Doctors said the condition of the twins was improving and they were feeding and functioning normally. “The two babies have undergone minor surgeries for their skin flaps but apart from that they are recovering well,” said Dr Venkat Sripathi, senior consultant paediatric urologist who led a team of 20 surgeons in performing the procedure that lasted 12 hours
