Aadhaar card not necessary for subsidies: extra time will be given for this purpose

The Central Minister of State, Ms. Panabagha Lakshmi informed that aadhar card is not a must for obtaining subsidies. Additional time will be given for this.
As the distribution of Aadhaar cards is not yet completed, Aadhar card will not be necessary for the subsidies. However, the distribution will be completed shortly and after this, Aadhar card must be required for LPG gas cylinder and other welfare schemes.
The finance ministry is the authority to decide on the requirement of Aadhaar cards for various purposes.
