Rains in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry

There are chances of heavy rainfall in some parts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry from Saturday night. North East Monsoon is likely to remain subdued in Tamil Nadu in the coming days since the rains due to cyclone �Helen� has moved towards the north of the State.
At this juncture an upper air circulation over Lakshadweep and adjoining area extending up to 1.5 Km above mean sea level persists. Because of this there are chances of rainfall from Saturday night.
The weather report says there will be rain or thunderstorm in some areas of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. As far as Chennai is concerned, it will be cloudy and some parts of Chennai will also have rains.
