Chennai residents who need to add their names to the voter list or make corrections have been given a major opportunity, as special voter list camps will be conducted at 4,079 locations across Chennai district.
These Voter List Special Camps are being organised to help eligible citizens register as voters, update personal details, and rectify errors in the electoral roll.
Who Can Apply?
Individuals who have completed 18 years of age and whose names are not included in the draft voter list can apply for registration by submitting Form 6 along with the required declaration.
Those who wish to make corrections or update their existing details such as address changes, name corrections, or photo updates can apply using Form 8.
Objections and Deletions
Citizens can also raise objections or request the removal of incorrect or duplicate names from the voter list by submitting Form 7 at the camps.
