Every year International Skin Day is celebrated across the world on 8th July to create awareness about skin health, skin based diseases etc. On behalf of that, skin health check up camps would be held in Tamil Nadu.

The news that has come out now is that on 13th of July in several locations across TN skin health check up camps would be held for the seniors, destitutes and special kids etc.

On the behalf of Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists or IADVE, dental health check up camps would be held in places like Chennai, Chengalpet, Coimbatore, Cuddalore, Erode, Pudukottai, Perambalur, Salem,Madurai, Pattukottai, Tiruppur, Tirunelveli, Trichy, Thoothukudi and Kanniyakumari.

It was later explained by the president of IADVL (TN) Dr. Dinesh Kumar that skin related issues were mostly viewed as cosmetic ones. He spoke about how the symptoms of various diseases that would occur in the internal organs could be witnessed on the skin. Point is that the changes that occur on the skin must not be ignored.

Dr. Dinesh Kumar added that the Indian Dermatological Association would be organising medical camps across India on 13th July. Across Tamil Nadu, free tests at many places such as elderly welfare centres, special childcare centres, orphanages and differently able welfare centres etc.

Information gathered is that the upcoming health caps would provide treatment for skin conditions like viral infections, bacterial infections, scabies, fungal based allergies, hair loss, skin irritation and pain etc. It is superb to note that medicines and treatments would be provided to the beneficiaries free of cost.
