Notification issued for recruitment of 1007 special officers in the nationalised banks in India!!
For the year 2026-27 Institute of Banking Personnel Selection or IBPS has issued a notification for recruitment of 1007 special officer posts in various nationalised banks like Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank, UCO Bank, Union Bank of India, Punjab and Sind Bank. In August, the preliminary exams will take place. In the months of October and November, the main exams would take place. Point is that applications are invited online from both males and females.

Salary: Rs 48480 to Rs 85920 per month
Eligibility criteria:
Candidates applying for the vacancies should have secured not less than 65% marks in their qualifying examination. Those with a master`s degree in engineering can also apply.
Age limit:
As on 21st of July 2025, the age should be between 20 to 30 years. For those candidates belonging to SC or ST, age relaxation up to 5 years would be given. For OBC category, age relaxation up to 3 years and age relaxation up to 10 years for differently able categories would be given. Age relaxation up to 5 years would be given for those Ex Servicemen category.
Process of selection:
It is learnt that the selection of suitable candidates for the above said vacancies in the banks would be done by preliminary exam, main examination and interview.
Examination fee:
An amount of Rs 850 must be paid for general category and Rs 175 for those belonging to SC/ST and differently able candidates.
Examination centres in TN:
It is worthy to note that in Tamil Nadu, written examination would be held in places like Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Salem, Tiruppur, Dindigul, Virudhunagar, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Kanniyakumari, Namakkal, Dharmapuri, Thanjavur, Thoothukudi and Ramanathapuram.
