On the occasion of the eighth consecration or Kudamuzhukku ceremony of Lord Subramania Swamy in Tiruchendur temple, special buses would be operated from Saturday. It is known that Tiruchendur Subramania Swamy temple is one of the 6 abodes of Lord Murugar. Important piece of information is that this temple is the 4th Hindu temple in TN to get ISI certification.
In this regard, a press release has been issued by Mr. Illambhagavat, district collector and by Mr.S. Natarajan, TN State Transport Corporation (Tirunelveli Division) MD.
As per the release, on 7th July the consecration ceremony of Lord Subramania Swamy would be held in the famous Tiruchendur temple. For this, arrangements have been made by TNSTC Tirunelveli Division to operate special buses from July 5th (Saturday) to 8th July (Tuesday). It is worthy to mention that about 6000 special buses would be operated in addition to the buses that are currently operating from places like Chennai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Salem, Madurai, Rameswaram, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil and Tiruchendur.
In Tiruchendur, 3 temporary bus stands have been set up now for the sake of this important ceremony. It is now brought out that the buses would ply from the temporary bus stand set up in Vettaivelimadam area on Tirunelveli Road to Tirunelveli, Papanasam, Tenkasi, Surandai, Sankarankoil, Rajapalayam areas, Buses would ply from the temporary bus stands set up opposite to P. Sivanthi Athithanar manimandapam on the Thoothukudi Road to Thoothukudi, Kovilpatti, Rameswaram, Aruppukottai, Vilathikulam, Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Trichy, Chennai, Salem areas,
From the temporary bus stand set up at Theppakulam, on the Kanyakumari- Nagercoil Road, buses would ply to Sathankulam, Vetiyaanvilai,Valliyur, Nagercoil and Kanniyakumari areas.
Out of a total of 30 special buses, 10 special buses each would be operating from the 3 above said temporary bus stands to the Tiruchendur temple gate.
