In TN, admissions are going on now in government vocational training centres!!
The news that has come out now is that admissions have been going on now in the government vocational training centres across TN.
According to the release from the director of employment and training department there are 125 govt vocational training centres and 301 private vocational training centres functioning under the Employment and Training Dept in Tamil Nadu.
From 23rd onwards, direct admission of the students has been going on for the academic year 2025-26. It must be noted that the students could go to the vocational training centres of their choice in person and they could select the industry of their choice. The students could join these vocational training centres.
For those students who join the govt vocational training centres, no fees would be collected from them. An amount of Rs 750 would be paid as monthly scholarship. It is learnt that free bicycles, free uniforms, free shoes, free training equipment and free bus facilities that are provided by the TN government would be provided for these students.
Note:
In the past, about 85% of trainees who were trained in the vocational training centres have got jobs in many leading organisations etc. The statement also mentioned that government vocational training centres provide vocational training in many modern industrial sectors including industry 4.0 that are needed for today`s industries.
