Important!! Applications invited for 17713 union govt vacancies in Group B & C - STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION!!
The staff selection committee or SSC conducts Group A, B, C & D examinations to fill up the posts in the union government is well known to us. In this scenario, the Staff Selection Committee has invited applications for the 17713 government vacancies in Group B and C. It must be noted that Group A is for the posts like IAS, IPS and IRS etc.
With a degree as the basic qualification, Group B examinations are being conducted for various posts like department assistant officer, excise inspector, IT inspector, Audit department, assistant officer in IT department, Excise department of Union Ministry, junior statistical officer and postal inspector etc.
It is noteworthy that examinations are conducted for the posts like lower clerk, junior secretariat assistant and data entry operator in Group C with 10th and 12th educational qualifications.
The SSC has announced dates for Group B and Group C examinations for this year to fill up the vacancies.
As per the regional director of the SCC southern zone Mr. K. Ragul, in this year examination would be held for 17713 posts in Group b and Group C categories. There are as many as 14582 vacancies in Group b and 3131 vacancies in Group C category.
Important dates:
The last date to apply for the vacancies in Group B category is 4th of July 2025. The last date to apply for the vacancies in Group C is 18TH July 2025.
The interested candidates can apply through the website www.ssc.gov.in plus through My SSC app also.
Exam Details:
The examinations would be conducted in 2 stages namely first stage exam and second stage exam. It must be noted that there would be NO exam fees for women, SC/ST and differently able persons etc. In 2024, about 18.5o lakh candidates appeared for the exam in the Southern region alone* TN, Telangana, AP and Puducherry etc). The director of SSC Mr. K. Ragul concluded that more candidates were expected to write the examinations and join the government services in the staff selection commission.
