FASTag Annual Pass for Private Vehicles to Launch on August 15, 2025: Ministry of Road Transport
The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) has announced the launch of a FASTag-based Annual Pass, aimed at ensuring smoother and toll-free travel for non-commercial private vehicle users across India’s highways. The new scheme will come into effect from August 15, 2025.
According to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, the annual pass will be priced at ₹3,000 and will be valid for one year from the date of activation or for 200 trips, whichever is completed first. The pass is exclusively designed for private cars, jeeps, and vans, and is not applicable to commercial or goods vehicles.
The initiative is expected to particularly benefit daily commuters residing within a 60-kilometre radius of toll plazas, who often face recurring toll payments for regular travel.
