Important!! Results of Group1 preliminary examination to be announced in 2 months!!
As per the chairman of TNPSC Mr. S.K. Prabhakar, the results of group 1 preliminary examinations would be released in 2 months. He spoke about the possibility of more vacancies in Group 4 posts.
On Sunday, the TNPSC or Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission conducted Group-1 and Group-1 A preliminary exam for 72 vacant posts like assistant collector, DSP, assistant commissioner of commercial taxes etc.
Across 44 centres in TN, about 2lakh and 49thousand candidates were allowed to appear for the examination. In Chennai, as many as 41094 candidates were allowed to appear for the exam at 170 exam centres. In Egmore based TN Girls Higher Secondary school, about 200 candidates wrote the first level examination
Chairman of TNPSC Mr. S.K Prabhakar spoke about how the exams were conducted as per the schedule and how arrangements were made to write Group -1 exam in 170 centres in Chennai. He concluded that the results of Group 1 would be released in 2 months and after that Main exams would take place.
Last year, TNPSC provided employment for 10701 persons and to about 10221 persons since January 2025. By the end of 2025, another 12231 persons would be provided employment.
