CM Stalin Inaugurates ₹300 Cr Robotics Unit, ₹175 Cr Oxygen Plant in Tamil Nadu
In a major boost to Tamil Nadu’s industrial growth, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Wednesday inaugurated a ₹300 crore AI-based robotics components manufacturing unit by Agile Robots SE at the SIPCOT Industrial Estate, Irungattukottai, Kancheepuram. The Germany-based company specializes in next-generation automation solutions by integrating Artificial Intelligence with Robotics. The new facility is expected to create 300 high-skilled jobs for engineers and technocrats.
At the same event held at the state secretariat, CM Stalin also inaugurated a ₹175 crore Air Separation Unit by SOL India Pvt Ltd at the SIPCOT Estate, Ranipet. The Italy-based firm, which manufactures medical and industrial oxygen, had signed MoUs during the Global Investors Meet in 2019 and 2024. The foundation stone for this unit was laid in July 2023.
State Industries Minister T.R.B. Rajaa, Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam, and other top officials participated in the virtual inauguration, reaffirming the government’s commitment to attracting high-tech investments and boosting employment in Tamil Nadu.
