Southern Railway Cancels and Diverts EMU Trains for Avadi Yard Engineering Work!
Due to ongoing engineering works at Avadi Yard in the Chennai Central and Arakkonam section, there will be cancellations and diversions of EMU trains, according to a Southern Railway statement. The works will take place from 12:00 am to 03:30 am on 3 and 5 August.
The following trains are fully cancelled on 2 and 4 August:
• Pattabiram Military Siding - Avadi EMU local departing at 11:50 pm.
• Moore Market Complex - Avadi EMU local departing at 11:40 pm and 12:15 am.
Additionally, the Avadi - Pattabiram Military Siding EMU local departing at 03:00 am is fully cancelled on 3 and 5 August.
Partial cancellations on 2 and 4 August include:
• Moore Market Complex - Pattabiram Military Siding EMU local departing at 11:40 pm, cancelled between Avadi and Pattabiram Military Siding.
• Pattabiram Military Siding - Moore Market Complex EMU local departing at 10:45 pm, cancelled between Avadi and Moore Market Complex.
Partial cancellations on 3 and 5 August include:
• Pattabiram Military Siding - Moore Market Complex EMU local departing at 03:30 am, cancelled between Pattabiram Military Siding and Avadi.
The Sullurupeta - Moore Market Complex EMU local departing Sullurupeta at 9:00 pm is diverted via Korukkupet and Vyasarpadi Jiva to Avadi on 2 and 4 August.
